Normally naturally occurring sand with a maximum particle size of 3mm.  Usually washed and has a high clay content.  A crushed fine aggregate can be used as an alternative in some applications.
 
Is a less refined sand to that of Washed or Brick sand.  It can be known as fatty sand.  Can be used under Concrete slabs, under Water Tanks, Bedding and as Packing around drain pipes.
